Jordan Childs was having his first sit on the mare and kept his cool after finding himself stuck in on the rail. When the gap presented and the talented mare burst through the field.

"She jumped with them but didn't quite have that early speed with the rail out it can inject a bit more tempo. We were ale to take the box seat and I just had to be a bit patient and wait my turn," Childs said after the race.

"Once I did get a little split and give her a squeeze, she was really electric through that gap and maintained a good gallop through the line. I think she's got nicer races in store.

"She's not overly big bit she makes up for it with plenty of heart." Childs said. so it was good to get that result tonight."

Trained by Tom Dabernig, it has been a patient build up for the American Pharoah (USA) mare who was second up at The Valley after an effortless win at Ballarat in BM58 grade last start.

"It's not an easy thing for a horse to have four starts for four wins, so she has done a really good job," Dabernig said after the race.

"Tonight, gate one, you sort of have a game plan and we were thinking she begins well and we'd be right there. She didn't jump quite as quick and she was back on the fence so there were a few nervous moments in the run. She was able to get out and good ride.

"She's accelerated well and stepped up from country Benchmark races to Friday Night Fillies and Mares 70. It's a good sign and hopefully now the key would be a bit of black type somewhere would be perfect."

Cleo Cat was a $50,000 purchase fro Dabernig Racing at the Inglis HTBA Yearling Sale and has now won $77,550 from her first four starts with more in store.

TBB Racing bought into this filly with a syndicate after she was purchased by Dabernig Racing and we couldn't be more excited going forward.
